Service Dog Awareness Education
For Individuals
Paws Then Play
Paws Then Play LLC is based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Our vision is to educate and serve those who are disabled and need help to navigate the world with their service dog. We educate businesses on their rights and responsibilities with handicapped persons and their service dogs.
About Me
My name is Lindsay Brown, and I have experiences that make me uniquely suited for the business I created. I have intensive training with animals including conditioning my own service dog, managing my own disabilities daily, researching laws specific to service animals.
Experience
I love animals and have worked in different fields of dog training and also with horses. I have also worked my own dogs at shows and teach others about training, service dog legal issues, and how to manage disabilies in daily life with the assistance of a service dog.
Is A Service Dog Right For You?
Often times it is difficult enough to find creative solutions to mitigate a disability in daily life so much so that it can be hard to predict if a service dog would help or hinder a disabled persons progress. One of the most common obstacles is the large amount of incorrect and/or misleading information about service dogs.
Lindsay strips away all of the sequins and warts the Internet puts on service animals and present raw data - laws, facts, statistics if relevant, and if relevant, her personal experiences whether funny, or less than ideal. Lindsay has experienced both circumstances navigating life with and without a service dog by her side.
Indivdual with Service Dog
Lindsay has experience not only as a disabled person who utilizes and cares for a service dog but also as a working professional, a dog trainer and behaviorist. As a person who continuously studies the laws pertaining to Service Animals, Lindsay has a varied skill set uniquely adapted to help other people considering and in the process of living with a Service Dog. She is also active in her community to help raise awareness and participates in the online network of service dog handlers and advocates.
Lindsay will gladly share all of her knowledge with you to help isolate quantifiable aspects aside from emotion to enable you to make a decision with confidence. Connect with Lindsay to find out more details about professional training and one-on-one consultations!
Paws Then Play can help clarify why service dogs are important to their disabled handlers, and when situations need to be addressed for their safety, enjoyment, and well-being. Learn what your rights and responsibilites are as a handicapped person with a service dog.
Lindsay demonstrates how to handle encounters with businesses to prevent issues before they can occur. She also highlights sensitivities that may not be apparent initially. Sometimes misunderstandings can occur and she can provide the guidelines that can help you manage any problems.
